Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
BallWubba Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
Francene Odetta It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
richdick-96105 I really don't get why this show has any positive feedback. Great idea ruined by pathetic acting, laughable script and annoying characters. Some say it's"TV Drama" but it's not even that! Don't bother!
tlawrenceintel I agree with the other first responders who have reviewed this show. It is not high on realism. But...so what. It is still entertaining enough to watch. And in the end...it still exposes what we experience to wider audience. If you are a first responder and are looking for reality...watch a documentary. Or...just go to work. Of you are anyone looking for an entertaining drama...give it a chance. Angela Bassett carries the show.
trebornotlimah I would never go out of my way to watch this sort of thing because they always tend to go down the path of 'Let's get good looking dudes in uniforms so we can attract bored female viewers'... And yes, my wife made me watch this. I couldn't even get through the first episode! It was so cliched! Young hottie rookie firefighter (with shirt on for a change) takes a fire truck out so he can have sex with a woman in it's cab. And this is pretty much the first scene. He gets no more than a slap on the wrist. So, straight away, we have the hook for said female viewers. Next, we have the serious female, black police Sgt, complete with serious sunglasses, being well, serious. Add to that the seemingly compulsory homosexual and a fractured homelife and we now have typically a generic tv show. Except this one will be bound to have lots of explosions and over the top action scenes. Not that I'll be watching but I will predict that there will be a love triangle, a marriage discintergrating, the hottie getting his shirt off a multitude of times, an even more hot dude as competition and to keep women viewers happier and a gay story arc... PS: How did the rescuers know the sex of a baby trapped in a waterpipe before they exposed it and no one claimed any knowledge of it? Not only are the rescuers totally amazing but psychic too. PPS: I appear to be right about this show needing to appeal to women audiences as they are the majority of commenters who are giving it praise. Everyone else hates it.
hcurlygirly16 In my opinion, this is an important thing for anyone who is planning to watch this show to know: VERY FREQUENT AND SOMETIMES GRAPHIC DEPICTIONS OF SUICIDE. Even the way they discuss suicide on the show after the fact is inappropriate and frankly harmful. They make it seem like blame should be placed on people who commit suicide and they "don't want to be saved." If we are trying to educate people about suicide, this is absolutely NOT the way to do it. I wish I had known this show would do this before I watched it because as someone who has struggled with her mental health, it made me sick to my stomach. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't stop thinking about it; I was completely distressed and horrified. There are ways to have a conversation about suicide and mental health without such graphic depictions. This show's cast and crew need to be more responsible because it was absolutely terrifying.
