A Lot Like Love Audience Reviews

More Review
Perry Kate Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
GamerTab That was an excellent one.
SpunkySelfTwitter It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
zvonnydamne She's a punk chick. He's a dumbo. Maybe in reverse, i don't know. They see each other at airport and trying to establish some sort of aural connection. Electricity is in the air and cost nothing. Then they got high in the sky and have intercourse with each other. That's the first five minutes of the movie and you can feel real romance. But it's not. What's the point when they act like stupid people? Is love stupid? Is life a embarrassment for the living? My eyes saw it and were in disbelief.First point is the first five minutes. Second is the next six and a half years these weirdos chasing each other while got successful businesses (selling diapers), failed relationships (in both ways their companions just saying "i'm leaving" without much consequences) and photo gallerys (chick doesn't know how to selfie). While chasing they pose naked, simulating choking and drive relentlessly while stuffing their nose with glasses (don't ask why). Peter Cetera's voice in the set.So is this "romance" is worth anybody's time? As main character's deaf brother said - "Life doesn't wait for you to get back on your feet." Don't fall in this movie's trap.
namashi_1 A well-done Romantic-Comedy is rare & I cherish it when I see a really good one. And 'A Lot Like Love' is exactly the kinda ROM-COM I cherish & entirely fall for. This is True Romance, depicted on celluloid, with simplicity.'A Lot Like Love' tells the story of Two Individuals (Ashton Kutcher & Amanda Peet), whose relationship slowly evolves from lust to friendship to romance over the course of seven years.'A Lot Like Love' is a strongly constructed love-story, thats filled with funny & amusing moments. Colin Patrick Lynch's Screenplay is a complete winner. From start to finish, you're invested in this near-decade long love-story, about Two Individuals. The Writing touches the core of your heart, without ever succumbing to melodrama. Nigel Cole's Direction is top-notch. Cinematography is eye-filling. Editing is quite crisp.Performance-Wise: Ashton Kutcher & Amanda Peet, underrated actors, both, make for a genuinely adorable on-screen couple. Kutcher is perfectly awkward, while Peet exudes honesty. They are infectious together & lead the show with their performances. Of the supporting cast, Kathryn Hahn & Kal Penn leave a strong impression. On the whole, 'A Lot Like Love' depicts romance in its truest form.
adi_2002 Oliver has an affair with Emily in the toilet of a plane then the two fall in love but do not realize this at the time because they are two different characters and seem to have nothing in common. When they meet and go to a bar he leaves his parents phone number but also makes a bet that he says not ring six years, after he you will be on his feet, no longer live with his parents and will have its own home and business. Of course that does not happen and Emily can not wait that long and it rings faster, the two are seen again and go for coffee and catch tell what each has done during the past years. Meanwhile each has found a partner but the relationship did not last. After Oliver singing a song in the yard finds that she is engaged and hopes seem to have been swept away. The end is OK when she hits her head to a window that didn't see and have believed all that Oliver is the one getting married and not his sister. It's a bad movie, and segments are annoying "three years later", "one year later", "six months later". I mean the two needs years so they could know each other and realize that they are compatible? If you choose a good love story, choose one without starring Asthon.
vivs99 For someone who's ever been in love and not the cheesy kinda. but the one that takes time to build up slowly and u go through a lot of upheaval before finally taking the plunge. Each time Emily and Olivier meet, one appears to be settled and content while the other is struggling to make headway in both life and career. Eventually they come to the realization that each is exactly the person the other one needs for fulfillment. Who says there is no difference between Complete and Finish??? Choose the right person n u r complete, choose the wrong person n u r finished!!! Awesome movie. Brilliantly written and the chemistry between ashton kutcher and amanda peet is simply superb. They create superb moments on screen.. feels .. a lot like love.. :)
