Diagonaldi Very well executed
FeistyUpper If you don't like this, we can't be friends.
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
Aubrey Hackett While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Maurizio Now, this is what I call REAL horror! As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't take tons of blood and endless butchery to horrify, it just takes the right story and the right atmosphere. This film has both, and terrifically well done, in spite of the small, indie production. The idea, besides, that what we see on screen does really happen, maybe behind the walls of your neighbor, only adds to the horror.I won't spoil anything because this movie must be enjoyed from start to finish, there is everything here: psychopathy, deep web, cannibalism, and a constant, impending sick feeling which will unnerve you for the whole duration and after the end. Don't miss it.
Scott LeBrun Co-stars Alex O'Loughlin ('Hawaii Five-O') and Patrick Thompson are credited with the story concept for this fairly entertaining gross-out fare. Thompson stars as Phillip Jackson, a cybercrimes investigator who gets wind of people like Michael Carter (O'Loughlin), who take women and then feed them and feed them until they're bedridden and completely dependent on their captors. Meanwhile, websites are set up where people can check on the victims' progress, and make bets as to how fat they will get and how soon they will die. Jackson travels from Sydney, Australia to Toledo in the States to try to stop the maniac, even though he is way out of his jurisdiction."Feed" works fairly well on a visceral, gut wrenching level, although it's going to be hard for some people to watch. Not always terribly coherent, or credible, it also suffers from a "hero" who's simply not very good at his job. Nevertheless, it's gripping in its own sordid way. The performances are generally good, although the filmmaking tends to fall back on that standard herky-jerky editing too often. There are also some appropriate soundtrack choices. The effects are pretty damn gross sometimes. Judging by the opening text, it seems as if director Brett Leonard (of "The Lawnmower Man" fame) and company are using the story as something in which to wrap a commentary on the excessively poor eating habits of North Americans, as well as body image. There is a little bit of food for thought here, if one will pardon the expression.O'Loughlin is sufficiently creepy, and Thompson pretty intense. Gabby Millgate does an okay job as the not very grateful victim of the piece. Thompsons' father, Aussie icon Jack Thompson, co-stars in the role of his boss. The ending is sure to be satisfying to some in the audience.Six out of 10.
jadagirl This movie.....WOW.Disturbing , yet strangely fascinating. That was the only way I could sum it up. While I am a fat girl, just the thought of being so morbidly obese that I am not able to move around has always been the driving force for me not to get any bigger. Watching it here, it sent chills down my spine to know that there are actual cases of feeders/gainers in society. However, I do not judge. People are grown up to make their own decisions.OK, on to the movie. A young Alex O'Loughlin is the feeder, and while I admired his physique (he was naked half of this movie), the interaction between him and Deidre was just disturbing "FEED MEEE" Unfortunately, this movie received a lower rating because: 1)Bad acting from the Aussie cop, 2)Deidre was a bit of an annoyance, and 3)I felt almost nothing for the characters. Well, maybe the cop's GF. I woulda bitch slap that man after what he did to her. It was hard to approve or disapprove this movie. Its one of those that you have to watch and judge for yourself. However, if the sight of very large women being fed with a tube down their throats disturbing, this might not be the movie for you.I love you Alex, but while this movie is watchable, is not a keeper for me.Cheers
ZombieSteak .com This was an interesting, disgusting and strange film. This film tells the story of a serial killer with a fetish for obese women who force feeds them and takes bets online as to when they will die. What I thought interesting about this film was that even though this guy was obviously insane and he's sole goal was to kill these woman he had such a love and tenderness for them. He spoiled them with everything they desired, he washed them tenderly, entertained them by being silly, there was no end to what he would do for these women. Of course, with his dark side there were some times where he would snap and since the women loved him so much they would do anything for him, even if it meant being in a lot of pain and feeling sick.I enjoyed this movie and lots of credit for being original. I also have to add that this movie has a kick ass ending as well! ZombieSteak.com - Discover a new world of horror films, designed just for you.
