XOXO Audience Reviews

Vashirdfel Simply A Masterpiece
MoPoshy Absolutely brilliant
AutCuddly Great movie! If you want to be entertained and have a few good laughs, see this movie. The music is also very good,
Ava-Grace Willis Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
yoyopa A few years ago there was a Zac Efron DJ movie, can't even remember what it was called but it was total garbage. It attempted to cash in on EDM by using it as a backdrop for a crappy unoriginal snoozefest. XOXO is no different. Matter of fact XOXO is a direct rip off of Love Actually told to an EDM soundtrack. EXCEPT... I loved LOVE ACTUALLY. Boring Abercrombie models falls in love at a rave blah blah blah. I love EDM music... I loved electronic music long before it was called EDM. I'm more passionate about it then I can honestly put into words and these movies use it an abuse it to hopefully attract some pre teen that wouldn't know a good film if it slapped them in the face. It's funny... i knew this would be bad bc I JUST HEARD ABOUT IT and it came out on netflix a year ago!! NO ONE was talking about it... and for good reason. Wish I could give this a MINUS ZERO.
ephraimcassion I liked the movie. The characters and story weren't really that interesting since we don't delve into them that much. What I found compelling was the themes that the characters embodied. Themes that connect to my generation. Krystal and Ethan are the idealistic youth, Ethan is trying to make his dreams come true and Krystal is pursuing fairy tale romance/love. They both think it will all fall in place at XOXO. Ray and Shannie are young adults about to start their careers while Ray is finishing his 5 year program Shannie is moving away for work. So they attend XOXO to escape a harsh reality. Tariq is trying to pursue a career he is passionate about while at the same time trying to please his dad and make him proud. There is also a culture clash Tariq's father doesn't really understand Tariq's decision but he is not portrayed as bad guy he just wants his son to be okay in life but Tariq wants to do what he loves. As a person coming from an immigrant family I can understand that. We have older generation interacting with the younger. Neil is an older DJ who looks down on the newer generation (Millennial bashing), DJ Avilo who preys on the younger generation in order to stay on top and Anders is the one who embraces the new generation and helps to cultivate them.
Nathan Pieraut I mean what do you guys expected? Just watching the trailer you knew that is was going to be a unrealistic story about love and everything would fall into place at the end. That's what happened but since I knew what I was going to watch I really enjoyed this movie, I watched it because I love EDM music and I attend a lot of these events, it made me feel nostalgic and missing all these good moments I had at these festivals. You are watching a movie about a story in a music festival, what you wanted more? it can't be more researched, all they wanted was to make edm festival lovers to feel good and that's exactly how I felt. Its a 8/10 since the movie is for a pretty close market, all of these movie expert won't like a movie like this since all they do is watch movie and can't understand the feelings and the emotion you get in these parties so they won't feel anything watching this.
phillips-adl I am hugely disappointed by this film. I'm not sure what the story was really trying to do, it wasn't amusing or in any way entertaining. If you want to watch a good festival film watch Under The Electric Sky because it's actually good. This film portrayed loads of typical festival/drug stereotypes like everybody at these things is a total moron, that's not been my experience. Acting - awful. Music, not enough of it and mostly boring. Spend your time doing something other than watching this, trust me! Also, why does it need to be so cynical? I suppose it's not cool to be nice anymore. Why can't more people make good party films? Relatively simple concept and a lot of fun but so few people seem to have got it right.
