Neighbor Audience Reviews

ThiefHott Too much of everything
Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Donald Seymour This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Kayden This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
Kat Webb The first 28 minutes of this movie consist of little more than boring nobodies gossiping about their meaningless lives. I was about to switch it off and give it a one star rating think it was just some stupid college age horror comedy. The motives for the protagonist in this movie are completely pointless. Is it rape revenge? Does she have something against the people she tortures? Does she having something against society in general? The answer to all three is no. Its just torture for the sake of torture. And then there's those awful jumps in time that only serve to confuse matters, then to make matters worse we discover half the things that happen are just dreams. There seems to be no plot to this movie whatsoever up until right near the end when we discover that the protagonist is in fact an escaped mental patient.I really didn't care who lived or died in this movie as they were all shallow wooden people. In fact as I was watching I kept checking how much time it had remaining to see how much longer I would have to suffer. I very nearly switched the movie off midway through, and it would've been no great loss if I did.
Michael 'Hallows Eve' Smillie Now this movie had potential and it could've been a whole lot better. It was very gory and had some very cringe worthy scenes (guys, you'll know what I mean). But it was all over the place, I mean the storyline went from real time to flashbacks to scenes that didn't make sense when you view the whole film. You don't know what is actually happening or what is meant to be a flashback. There is some bad acting and some rookie mistakes (a supposed dead woman's eyes are moving in one scene). The movie started off okay but then went down hill after the first 25 minutes. So just because of the cringe worthy torture scenes I'm giving this film a 4 out of 10.
patchworkmind This is by far, by leaps and bounds, and without question the worst movie I have ever had the misfortune to endure. (Note that I've seen well thousands of movies over the course of over forty years of movie-going.) Everything about it that counts is plainly and simply dreadful. The rest is just middling, not bad but not good, just kind of... there. None of the characters are likable or even interesting, not even the titular villain, and so there is no tension, none whatsoever in the whole thing. The villain's M.O. is the usual for torture porn, good old casual sadism. It's the writer/director's M.O. as well. He doesn't seem to care about his story or want us to care about it either. His name credited as the writer/producer/director (in flashing graphics, no less) is all he cared about. (He does it for the special features on the DVD, too.) This movie is so abominably bad it's insulting. The box art is the best thing about it.
sloppyjoe911 The person who "directed" this garbage puts his name above the title. I find it hard to believe someone wants to take credit for this. It's terrible, like a Uwe Boll movie. Really, this is one of the most amateurish attempts at a movie I've seen in years but it comes across as so pretentious as if it was good. Forget that there isn't an original bone in the body of this clichéd waste of time, the fact that the people making have no idea what they're doing makes it worse. And if you're going to put references to actual good movies, it doesn't help when your movie comes across like an amateur video, which is pretty much what this is. I thought maybe the guy who "directed" this was some foreign guy I've never heard of since his name was above the title like that meant something but he's not - after looking at his IMDb page, it's just some guy who wants to break in the industry (but has no talent). So this makes it even worse. A terrible video made by a guy with a big ego who puts his name above the title. Good. I hope he does that for everything he ever does from now on - it will serve as a warning. Then again, the odds of this guy ever making another movie that gets on a rent-able DVD are nil. Nill I tells ya.
